Mario Balotelli  may be one of the most prolific strikers on the planet, but he has always done things a little bit differently than most soccer players, including the way he prepares for his first World Cup.

While most players are focused on the most prestigious soccer tournament in the world and the daunting task of playing in Brazil's climate, Balotelli had other things on his mind. Italy may be preparing for their World Cup opener, on Saturday against England, but that didn't stop Super Mario from proposing to his girlfriend, Fanny Neguesha, and getting engaged!

Balotelli announced the exciting news on his Instagram account, where he happily reported the engagement.

"She said yes.. The most important yes in my life. That was the place of my question! I Love you and happy birthday too ! Je t'aime my WIFE ? @thisisfannyneguesha"
-Mario Balotelli-

Balotelli's new fiance, Fanny, didn't take too long either announcing the news on social media, as she took to Instagram as well, only minutes later.

"Tonight, I said the most important yes of my life. That was the best present for my birthday! I love you first and unique husband."
-Fanny Neguesha-

The two will not have much time to celebrate their engagement though, as Italy continue to prepare in Mangaratiba for their upcoming match against England. The 23 year old, was a big reason for Italy's good run in Euro 2012, that saw the team lose to Spain in the Final. The Azzurri will need a big tournament out of Balotelli, and there is no doubts that the Milan striker is in good spirits!
