Iran meets Bosnia in the last group match in Salvador and needs a win to have any hope of progressing to the round of 16. Bosnia on the other hand is out of contention but playing for a consolation win.


Iran is coming into the Bosnia game on a high of sorts after an excellent performance against Argentina which won them many accolades. Iran was unfortunate to lose the game to Argentina after questionable refereeing and a moment of Messi genius hurt them.


Iran will come out to win the game against Bosnia & Herzegovina because only a win gives them a chance of qualifying to next round. Iran have one point from two games, Nigeria have four points from two games and Argentina have six points. This means a Nigeria loss is a must if Iran are to make it to next round.

Iran came into the game with Argentina specifically focused on shutting down the middle. With Bosnia they will have to keep an eye on the balls crossed in because the Bosnians are taller. Iran will have to shut down the Bosnian wings.


Bosnia is a talented team and it is a surprise to see them out of contention. Even though they may be out they will be playing to earn some points and to avoid finishing dead last in Group F. That can be a very dangerous opponent to have.


Iran will be going for the win as Queiroz will likely give his forwards more support and move to have a sustained attacking game. Iran will have to do its job by winning and hope results go it's way in the other game. The boost in confidence from the Argentina game may have given them enough wind to get their task completed. Bosnia on the other hand is out of contention but playing for a consolation win.
