Current Liga MX top dogs Club America thumped Puerto Rican side Rico Bayamon FC 6-1 in a CONCACAF Champions League group stage match.

With goals by Moises Velasco and Michael Arroyo early on America went on an all out attack on the Puerto Rican minnows with three extra goals by Ventura Alvarado, a beautiful bicycle kick Martin Zuñiga, and an injury time threat by Gil Buron to go back to the locker rooms with a 5-0 advantage.

Nicholas Walker headed in a consolation goal for Bayamon after a well executed set play but Martin Zuñiga would get his second of the night with a good header in injury time to end the match 6-1.

The victory gives America the lead in Group 8, where the Mexico City team have played their first match. Rico Bayamon have played and lost both games and now sit at the bottom of the group table behind C.S.D Comunicaciones of Guatemala to whom they lost 5-0 previously.
