Controversial signing Camilo Sanvezzo got his first start for his new club Queretaro this weekend in Friday night's 0-2 loss to Toluca. He had made his first appearance as a substitute last weekend in the team's 4-2 loss to Atlante.
Last season's MLS Golden Boot winner went the full 90 minutes against second place Toluca and looked lively at times. He is a much needed injection of skill for the Queretaro attack.
Queretaro currently sit third from bottom in 16th place only one point better than both Monterrey and Veracruz who share the title of worst team in the league.
More than their on field problems, Queretaro could be facing disaffiliation from the Mexican Soccer Federation (FMF) due to their legal troubles with the federal government.
