Liga MX AP2014 Week 6: Must watch games & TV schedules
08/21/2014

América 3-2 Morelia

The not so young Apertura 2014 season enters its 6th week of play. One third of the regular season is now complete. There are still two undefeated teams looking to extend their runs, some teams are starting to wake up and look strong, while some (even big teams) continue to struggle.

Here are the Week 6 Must Watch games as well as the full schedule and TV listings.

Chiapas FC vs Club America - Saturday August 23rd 10:00pm EST / 7:00pm PST

TV: Univision Deportes Network

The host Chiapas FC may have lost in their last outing in Tijuana handing the Xolos their first win of the season, but they are still one of the stronger sides this season in Liga MX. They sit in 7th place and have the third best offense of the season. Chiapas will be a huge test for the visiting Club America who come in trying to protect their perfect start to the season. America have an even more powerful attack with 13 goals in five matches and will look to take advantage of the vulnerable Chiapas defensive unit.

Santos vs Toluca - Friday August 22nd 10:30pm EST / 7:30pm PST

TV: Azteca America

Two teams that are usually strong and are now starting to wake up from early season slumps meet on Friday night. Santos Laguna are coming off of handing Chivas Guadalajara another headache with their 0-1 win in Guadalajara. Toluca on the other hand were possibly the most impressive team last weekend with their 3-0 win over Liga MX runners up Pachuca. Read a full match preview here.

Pachuca vs Atlas - Saturday August 23rd 9:00pm EST / 6:00pm PST

TV: Telemundo

The surprising Atlas visit one of (if not the most) youngest and exciting squads in the league; Pachuca. Atlas have won four games in row. They 0-0 draw against Tigres in the opening week is the only blemish in the rojinegros record. Pachuca, despite falling big to Toluca last weekend is still one of the most exciting teams to watch due to their young talent on display. Players like Jürgen Damm and Hirving Lozano will look to push Pachuca to the success of last season. Read a full match preview here.
