The Ecuadorian FA (FEF) have announced that they will be playing the United States on October 14. The federation confirmed that they will also be playing Colombia during the FIFA international date in October.
According to the statement, the federation also have two other matches in the United States in the month of September, although the opponent still was not confirmed for their September 5th match.
The federation says that the opponent would either be Chile or Bolivia, although the site for that match (like the others) is still unconfirmed.
This news was also confirmed on the MLS website, but what still isn't is the simple detail of them not having a coach as of yet. Federation president Luis Chiriboga said last week on Ecuadorian radio that he looked to renew Reinaldo Rueda's contract only to turn around and tell Colombian radio the complete opposite.
There were rumors floating around that the FEF were looking to hire Costa Rican national team coach Jorge Luis Pinto, but many would doubt that it would come to fruition. Costa Rican FA president Eduardo Li has already talked about the prospect of renewing the Cúcuta native so he can stay on during the World Cup qualifiers leading to Russia 2018.
