FORTALEZA, BRAZIL - JUNE 29: Arjen Robben of the Netherlands is challenged by Rafael Marquez (L)...

Both the Netherlands and Mexico have gone into half-time after a grueling first 45 minutes under the intense heat of the sun at the Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza.

Surprisingly, however, it's been Mexico who has looked the better team despite the Europeans being heavily favored.  The CONCACAF side has been able to nullify Arjen's Robben typical dangerous runs down the wings, and isolated Robin van Persie from seeing much of the ball.

Having to withstand the continuous Mexican attacks, Louis van Gaal's team were able to produce a moment of danger as Mexico's Javier Rodriguez gifted the ball for an incoming  Robben, who was able to enter the Mexican penalty box.

However, Captain Rafael Marquez and fellow defender Hector Moreno managed to make two last ditch challenges that were clear fouls on the Bayern Munich winger. But luckily for Mexico was not called by the referee, denying the Netherlands two clear successive penalties.

What do you think, was it a foul? Was the challenge clean? Share your opinion
