Barcelona have announced the appointment of Luis Enrique Martinez as new manager. His official presentation to the media is scheduled for Wednesday.
The club had been rumored to be leaning towards the 44-year-old as an immediate replacement for Tata Martino even before the Argentine stepped aside on the last match of the season.
Martinez, who had resigned his post with Celta de Vigo last week, agreed to a two-year contract with the Catalan club.
Along with the announcement, Barcelona have also made official the signing of Borussia Mönchengladbach's goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Also returning to the Catalan club are Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha, who were at loan at Everton and Celta respectively.
