Giovani Dos Santos, LA Galaxy

Giovani Dos Santos, who suffered a muscle injury in the LA Galaxy's 1-1 draw against the Seattle Sounders, will miss between 2-3 weeks of action according to his manager Bruce Arena.

Dos Santos was called up by the Mexican National Team for the CONCACAF Cup against the United States scheduled for this Saturday. He was replaced by Javier Guemez of Club America. Gio is also in danger of missing the remainder of the MLS regular season, which for the Galaxy it ends on October 25th against Sporting Kansas City.

"We don't the extent of how long he'll be out. He'll be out anywhere from two to three weeks, but you never know with these injuries. The thing for sure is that he wasn't going to be able to play this week"

"I'll be honest with you, we'd like nothing more for him to play for Mexico. It's an unfortunate and that's part of it but if he didn't get the rest and medical care that he needs in the next couple of weeks, it could have been a long-term injury"
