Less than 24 hours after Brazil suffered a humiliating 1-7 loss to Germany in the World Cup semifinal at Mineirao stadium, the now famous match was dubbed 'Mineirazo' to continue with the tradition started in 1950 with the 'Maracanazo',  a term that refers to Uruguay's 1-2 win over host nation Brazil in the World Cup final at the Maracana stadium.
