Cameroon fall against Paraguay in pre-World Cup friendly

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon suffered a setback in their friendly match against Paraguay in Kufstein, Austria yesterday. They lost 2-1 on goals scored by Oscar Romero and Roque Santa Cruz. Romero scored four minutes into the game and Santa Cruz made it 2-0 in the 68th minute. Choupo-Moting who plays his club football in Mainz, Germany pulled one back for the Lions 15 mins from time.

Samuel Eto’o didn’t play in this match, but will be available to play against Germany on Sunday in Monchengladbach.  A key test for both countries in their preparations for Brazil 2014 World Cup.

The Lions are currently camping in Austria for their World Cup preparations where they are grouped with Brazil, Mexico and Croatia. An interesting group they are expected to do well in when they face Mexico in their opener on June 13, 2014.
