The Colorado Rapids may have lost 4-2 to D.C. United but midfielder Dillon Serna's contribution to the Rapids in the 52nd minute was an absolute stunner!

The Colorado Rapids finished their preseason week long tour in Texas with a 3-0 win over Houston Baptist University. Deshorn Brown, Dillon Serna and Samuel Galindo all scored goals to lead the Rapids to victory.

Colorado took the lead early in the match on a fast counter attack with Uruguayan forward Vicente Sanchez setting up Deshorn Brown for the opening goal of the match after just eleven minutes.

The entire first half was full of chances for the MLS side; Sanchez struck a free kick that went just wide, Panamanian striker Gabriel Torres was also lively in the first half half, and former MLS Cup winner Edson Buddle nearly got on the scoresheet for the first time in preseason but was ruled offside.

Early in the second half Cameroon striker Charles Elouedou had to be taken off the pitch after a collision with an opponent and a suspected ankle sprain. Further evaluation will be done on Elouedou once the team returns to Denver, CO.

In the 68th minute draft pick right-back Albert Edward took the ball down the right wing and sent in the cross for home-grown Dillon Serna to finish for the 2-0.

Eight minutes later Edward once again roamed upfield down the right wing. He sent in a cross to where Samuel Galindo had a rather simple finish to round off the scoring at 3-0.

Colorado Rapids next preseason match will be in Las Vegas, NV against UNLV.
