Hellas Verona have been a team that people have fallen in love with in their first season back in Italy's top flight. After securing promotion from Serie B last year, Verona were able to bring a few experienced veterans like Luca Toni and Marco Donadel to help their young stars get accustomed to the improved level of play in Serie A. Toni has been a sensation for Verona netting 11 goals already. However, the biggest and best move the club may have made was signing Juan Manuel Iturbe from Porto. The player has become a stud and has already been labelled by several outlets as the 'next Lionel Messi'. Iturbe joined Verona on a season long loan, but the club have a 15 million euro option to buy the player at the end of the season, and this is where everyone is looking to partner up with Hellas Verona.

Hellas Verona and their passionate fans were made famous by British author Tim Parks and his book "A Season with Verona" but they weren't loved until this season. The images of Luca Toni scoring and sending the Bentegodi into a frenzy are some of the year's best highlights, along with those of Jorginho and Iturbe. Jorginho is already wearing a new jersey as Rafa Benitez and Napoli were quick to scoop up the young midfielder. It looks as though Iturbe could be the next big star to leave, even if the team haven't officially bought him yet.

With Hellas Verona holding the option to buy Iturbe outright in May, teams have begun to lineup to partner with Verona to help buy the player. Fifteen million Euros is not cheap and for a team who is in their first season back in Serie A after a decade, Verona need to be very careful with their funds. They are seeking a partner who will help pay the Iturbe fee in exchange for eventually owning the player. There are little details about the types of deals Hellas Verona are looking for, but it is clear there is a list of teams chomping at the bit to get their hands on this player.

Iturbe has been in fine form all season and is a major reason why Verona currently occupy a European spot in 5th place. It is reported that Roma are the frontrunners for the winger's signature as the team continues to add youthful depth. They also signed Tony Sanabria and Valmir Berisha in January and are looking for more top level talent headed into next year's Champions League. Iturbe is a young talent who already has a ton of experience. While Roma may be the rumored frontrunners, they are far from the only team in the hunt as Juventus, Fiorentina, Napoli, and a plethora of other European clubs have been linked with the player.

It will be interesting how this all plays out come the end of the season and how a deal can be structured to mutually benefit all involved.
