Group E had plenty of goals to highlight this week from each of its four respective participants. Rodriguez's and Inler's

goals helped secure points for their teams, while Karim Benzema keeps writing his name in the Real Madrid history books alongside a legendary striker and Bayern's Franck Ribery is set to miss the first leg Champions League game against Arsenal due to a buttocks surgery. Meanwhile, Honduras' forwards Martinez and Rojas continue to light up the Honduran league's goal charts.

Switzerland

By Salvador Borboa

Ricardo Rodriguez: The left-back opened the scoring in VfL Wolfsburg's victory against 1. FSV Mainz 05. The Swiss defender made no mistake from the penalty spot, sending the opposing keeper the wrong way for the first goal of the match and his third of the season.

Gökhan Inler: After a discrete midweek performance against Roma in the Coppa Italia, the midfielder returned to his old self by getting his name on the score sheet with a 30 yard equalizing strike before then assisting for Higuain's goal in Napoli's 3-1 win against AC Milan.

Philippe Senderos: A bittersweet debut in Spain for the former Fulham man. Playing his first game with Valencia, the Swiss center-back had been a dominant figure in his team's defensive line, neutralizing the opponents offense before having to be subbed off due to injury in the latter stages of Valencia's 5-0 thrashing against Real Betis.
