After spending three seasons with Ligue 1 bottom-dwellers AC Ajaccio, Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will not extend his stay with the club and will be leaving once the season is over, according to his representative Jorge Berlanga.

Berlanga has confirmed that his client will indeed abandon the island of Corsica based club at the end of the current season, while at the same time admitting that Ochoa will be aiming to continue his career in the French football league.

"Memo, as always, will try to help the team until the end, but his contract runs out in the summer and it is a fact that he will no longer continue with Ajaccio, because at the time we were unable to reach an agreement and as a result decided to not renew " said Berlanga to ESPN Deportes radio show "Raza Deportiva".

Berlanga also mentioned that despite leaving Ajaccio, the Mexican International is aiming to extend his stay in Ligue 1 amid rumors of  interest from some of the league's biggest teams and other foreign clubs such as: AC Milan, AS Monaco , Liverpool and Paris Saint Germain.

Earlier in the week, the prestigious magazine "France Football" reported that with current France international Steve Mandanda's future with Olympique de Marseille in doubt, the club see the former America goalkeeper as a viable replacement.

During his three seasons with Ajaccio, Ochoa has been a vital and key reason as to why the club has been able to avoid relegation in the past two years, although this season their fate looks to be sealed despite the mexican's heroics against the likes of some of  Ligue 1's most dangerous strikers.

Even before leaving the commodity of being a figure in the Mexican league and heading for a difficult journey in French soil, Ochoa had been touted as a player with the potential and talent to compete among the biggest leagues with a competitive club.  Now, it appears Ochoa's patience and perseverance with Ajaccio will finally be rewarded with a top club.
